Twelve years ago a devoted fan of island music named Dennis King, aka DJ DK, had his first Island Time radio show out of Cleveland Ohio on internet radio, WBWC 88.3FM The Sting. He developed a strong following for his show and the many Trop Rock artists he played and promoted...

Hi folks,

I have started off the New Year with lots of excitement performing in Detroit for General Motors at the 2012 International Auto Show. Wow, what an amazing display of innovation and technology, not to mention glitz and glamor!!! Great fun!!

I was joined by two wonderful Key West musicians, Marty Stonely on sax, and Rich Ciavolino on percussion. Great job guys!!! Everyone loved you!! And the Auto Show was awesome!

Great Parrothead Event!

This years Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) was a great one with Trop Rock musicians showing up from all over the country and the world. I got to hang out with some dear friends that I only see during this week ...and I made some new ones as well...Jimmy Buffett made a surprise visit to Duval Street that prooved to be one of this years premiere moments in Key West..

The Margarita MAFIA (soon to change it's name to the Trop Rock Music Association) presented awards to performers, songwriters, DJ's, venues and fans...and Phun was had by all Flocking to the island.

Nice to see and meet new friends at the Gardens on Sunday...Doug and Judy, and Ed who got up at jammed with us at the show...good piano player!! Always great to see Terry and Erika, Jammin' Jim and Cindy (Happy Bday again), Fred and Diane and Ricardo who got up to sing (and his lovely wife)...as did Mary Spears and Dennis Hyland, and nice to see Kenny out there too! Also wonderful to see Mary Ann and Paul with their friends from Lambertville PA!! ...and of course all the folks who support Jazz in the Gardens every Sunday...Thank you Kate!
